Cobra Pose
Bhujangasana
Anahata, meaning “unstruck”, refers to a sound made without any two things striking. Placed at the centre of the chest and associated with air, it is linked with love, compassion and connection, and it bridges the lower and upper chakras.
When this theme feels open, people often describe warmth, empathy and an ability to give and receive care. When it feels closed, it may be harder to trust, forgive or let others in.
Gentle backbends and chest-opening poses suit the heart chakra, along with practices of kindness towards yourself and others.

Meditation
The bija (seed) mantra for Anahata is YAM. Sit comfortably, bring attention to the centre of the chest, and chant it slowly on the exhale, aloud or silently, for a few minutes.
Who could I offer kindness to today, including myself?
