Steadier on your feet
Standing balances, strong feet and focused attention, progressing step by step with support when you need it.
Balance is a skill, and it improves with practice. Yoga trains it by asking you to stand on one leg, shift weight with control and keep your attention steady.
Start near a wall or chair and use it freely. Strong feet and ankles, steady breathing and a fixed gaze point make every balance easier. Progress from two feet to one, then to longer holds.
If you have a history of falls, dizziness or a condition that affects balance, practise with support and seek advice from a health professional.
