How we research

Sources & Methodology

Good guidance starts with good sources. This page explains what we rely on and how we separate traditional teachings from modern evidence.

Last updated

Health and safety claims

For health-related statements we look to national health bodies, peer-reviewed research and systematic reviews. We avoid claims a single small study cannot support, and we describe evidence as limited or mixed when it is.

Traditional knowledge

Yoga and Ayurveda have rich traditions, including classical texts such as the Yoga Sutras, the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and the classical Ayurvedic texts. We present these teachings respectfully and clearly as tradition — for example, “in Ayurveda, ginger is considered warming” — not as proven medical fact.

Practice instructions

Pose and breath instructions draw on established teaching practice and the experience of certified teachers, with an emphasis on accessible variations and clear safety cues.

Directory data

Directory records note their source and research date. A source shows where a fact came from; it does not mean an expert has approved it.
