About

Spacious Yoga’s morning programme is based at Gayatri, off Jalan Monkey Forest in Ubud. Iain Grysak and Allen teach Mysore-style Ashtanga, where students work through their practice at an individual pace, alongside a led Primary Series class. The school moved to this shala in April 2025, so older pages mentioning the Seeds of Life refer to a previous venue. A separate breath, bandha and pranayama course is offered for students ready for that study. Check its prerequisites before enrolling: the programme expects daily morning Mysore practice, and some sequences are intended for more experienced practitioners.

Booking your place

Email Iain twelve to forty-eight hours before your first practice with your intended start date, length of stay and usual practice. Students without an established daily Mysore practice must commit to at least one week. Class passes are non-refundable, and payment is requested in Indonesian rupiah cash at the start of your first class. Check rest days before visiting.
